Eagles hunt huge animals with people by their side

When a wolf is sighted, the *berkutchi* releases the eagle, which soars high above before diving with incredible speed—up to 200 miles per hour—to strike the wolf. The eagle's powerful talons can inflict serious injury, often targeting the wolf's spine or head. This initial attack is usually followed by the hunter, often on horseback, closing in to finish the job. It's a testament to both the eagle's predatory prowess and the *berkutchi*'s skill that such large and dangerous prey can be consistently brought down.
